She characterized the remarks as signaling a possible purchase discussion and urged transparency and corrections in publicly posted materials. "When the general manager stated that, quote, 'they wanted to evaluate the utility board's financial position, work through documents, and present an option to the city,' I knew that it was about a purchase of some sort," she said.
Councilmembers did not take immediate formal action on the comment during this meeting. The CTUB chairman's statement that Miss Miller's earlier public comment was "inaccurate and outdated" was reported by Miss Miller as part of her presentation; no CTUB representative responded on the record during the council meeting transcript to directly rebut or confirm Miss Miller's characterization.
