Demolition Review Committee approves demolition at 136 Clark Road

The Demolition Review Committee met July 27 and voted unanimously to allow demolition of the single-family house at 136 Clark Road after concluding the structure is not architecturally important or historically significant. "E. Sanborn made a motion that the house at 136 Clark Road is not architecturally important nor historically significant and its demolition would not be a detriment to the neighborhood," the minutes state.
Committee members present were David Choate, who called the meeting to order, Elizabeth Sanborn and Tom Sedoric. After Sanborn moved the finding and Sedoric seconded, the committee recorded unanimous approval. David Choate said he will notify the Building Inspector and submit a Notice of Decision to document the committee’s determination and allow the demolition permit process to proceed.
The meeting record shows the committee’s action was limited to the single application on the agenda; no alternative preservation conditions, delays or referrals for further study were recorded. The committee adjourned at 3:33 p.m.
