Trustees adopt amended sign regulations in zoning code update

During the development and engineering services portion of the meeting, Trustee Dela Pena moved to adopt an ordinance updating sign regulations in the zoning ordinance (amending section 1-3-b and section 3-6 table 3.2 and repealing chapter 17). The motion was seconded and put to roll call.
Trustee Doncke said he would vote yes but asked that staff remain attentive to business feedback and be willing to modify the ordinance if it impedes local businesses. The ordinance passed on roll call with no items removed from the consent process accompanying it.
The board did not provide additional amendments at the meeting; trustees said they were open to future changes informed by business feedback.
