Council hires KRW & Associates to run Town Manager search and approves interim manager contract

Council instructed staff to contact the recruitment firm immediately to begin the selection process. "I'll call them tomorrow," one councilmember said after the hiring motion.
The recruitment contract and interim manager authorization are separate actions: the interim manager contract provides short-term administrative continuity while the recruitment firm conducts a national or regional search. Council members discussed the budget for recruitment (the $18,000 figure was mentioned in the motion) and asked staff to coordinate schedules and onboarding steps with the interim manager and the recruitment consultant.
The town did not record a rollout timeline beyond the agreement to retain KRW & Associates; staff will return with a recruitment timeline and candidate materials.
