During public comment, a resident identified by the clerk as Patty told the board the crosswalk light at Travis and Rodenburg is hard to tell when it is illuminated on the west side and that crossing time feels insufficient. She said she previously reported the issue to staff and asked for repairs.
The mayor (or presiding officer) said public works has the report and that the needed part is backordered but expected to arrive in two to three weeks, after which the repair will be scheduled. "The last update I got is we're waiting. There's a back ordered part that we've been waiting on, so we're expecting that part to come in in the next 2 to 3 weeks," an official said. Staff encouraged the resident to talk with the deputy chief for follow-up on safety concerns in the interim.
