Newly appointed County Coroner Amy Casey introduced herself to the Law Enforcement Committee and reported that she took office on either April 9 or 10, 2026. Casey told the committee there were "eight reported deaths, no autopsies, and several autopsy record requests." The committee discussed coroner deputies during the report.
District Attorney Alexis Nash also introduced herself and said her office start date was April 6, 2026. The Clerk of Circuit Court reported no new updates and noted the office is fully staffed; the current clerk filed a non-candidacy notice and a newly elected Clerk of Court will take office in 2027.
The introductions were recorded in the committee minutes as part of routine departmental reports.
