Forestry and Parks staff reported ongoing seasonal work ahead of summer: water was turned on at parks for campers, state contract water sampling is being completed, potentially hazardous trees are being removed, grass cutting is under way, and ADA surfacing is being installed at Solberg along with rubber-chip surfacing at a playground. Staff said well testing is being completed and that the first camping day is scheduled for the Friday before Memorial Day; bathrooms at Big Falls are planned for installation in July.
The committee approved vouchers for April: $50,071.61 for Forestry & Parks and $9,196.19 for Buildings & Grounds. Michelle Drobnik moved and Patricia Stephan seconded the motion to approve vouchers; the motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 10:05 a.m.
Committee records list the vouchers and department updates on file with the County Clerk.
