The Alliance City Council on April 21 approved a capital purchase for the SkyView Golf Course: a Toro Greensmaster 3150-Q equipped with an eleven-blade cutting unit, roller and LED light kit from L.L. Johnson of Denver for $48,026.28. Staff told the council that $50,000 was included in the 2026 Golf Course budget for a triplex mower and that the existing 2002 mower has extremely high hours and low trade-in value.
Council authorized funding from Golf Course Account No. 21-71-75-59-950 and approved the purchase by roll-call vote. The minutes say staff intends to keep the 2002 mower for limited use to protect hours on the new machine until the old mower fails.
