The Alliance City Council on April 21 approved Ordinance No. 3018 authorizing sale of Lot 17, Block 10, Lakefield Addition (Box Butte County Parcel No. 070034192) to J B Construction Services LLC for a purchase price of $6,164.25. The ordinance, read by City Clerk Bedient, sets closing to occur within 30 days after the end of the remonstrance period required under Neb. Rev. Stat. 16-202 and conveys the property by special warranty deed at closing.
The ordinance includes transaction terms: buyers pay fees for any loans, each party pays half of standard closing costs and title insurance, buyer pays recording costs, and the property is conveyed "as is." The contract also provides a $2,000 refund to the buyer if a certificate of occupancy is obtained for a residence on the property within two years of closing. After a roll-call vote to suspend the three-reading rule, Mayor McGhehey declared the ordinance "passed, adopted and order it published."
