The Alliance City Council on April 21 separately considered a Cemetery Certificate for Hitchcock, Randall & Kolinda after it was removed from the consent calendar. Councilman Turman moved to approve the certificate and Councilman Yates seconded. Mayor McGhehey announced that the City had received a Conflict-of-Interest Statement from Councilman Randy Hitchcock related to the purchase.
The motion carried with four votes in favor (Turman, Yates, Mashburn and McGhehey) and one abstention from Hitchcock. The minutes record the abstention and indicate the certificate was approved.
