The Alliance City Council voted unanimously May 19 to authorize up to $12,000 from Council Contingency funds to purchase audiovisual equipment for the City Council Chambers and the Municipal Building Conference Room. The resolution allocates approximately $6,000 for each space to update aging systems and improve presentation and public-access capabilities.
Community Development Director Kusek gave a line-by-line overview of the Conference Room purchases and recommended the "OWL" system, saying it "had the best reviews and offered the best price point." Landfill Director Fankhauser described the equipment proposed for the Council Chambers and said the package supports broadcasting and integration with YouTube. The motion to approve Resolution No. 26-40 was made by Councilman Turman, seconded by Councilman Yates, and passed by a unanimous roll call vote.
