Board hires Greg Kale as Youth and Family Services director at $30.99 an hour

The Richland County commissioners approved hiring Greg Kale as the county’s Youth and Family Services director with an effective date of August 17 and an hourly rate of $30.99.
Commissioners said they had reviewed candidates and consulted the youth and family council before agreeing on Kale. In accepting the position, Kale described his background in media and child welfare: "So I'm just excited to accept the position," he said, noting roughly 15 years at WMFT and earlier work for about a decade in public children services as a communications supervisor and family team meeting facilitator.
A motion to approve Kale’s hiring was moved and seconded and recorded as approved by the commissioners in the meeting record.
