Resident praises fire and police citizen academies

During the Citizens to Be Heard portion, Amy Worcester (2904 Poplar) spoke about her experience in the Citizens Fire Academy and the Citizens Police Academy and encouraged fellow residents to sign up for upcoming classes later this summer. "I loved both of them... I got to see how they hire, how they train, all their different trainings, the different divisions, the dispatch," Worcester said.
Worcester described hands-on portions of the programs she enjoyed and urged the community to participate in future offerings. The council thanked her for the comment and for encouraging civic engagement in these training programs.
