Council asked whether parts of the sports park might be opened in stages while construction is underway; the Mayor Pro Tem noted that until lights and a new parking lot are complete, moving fencing may not be helpful. No public opposition was recorded. A council member moved to approve change order number 8, a second was entered, and the council voted to approve the change order unanimously. The approval authorizes staff to proceed with the specified concrete work and control system upgrades under the existing construction contract.
