City staff told the council the Senior Mobility Program has grown in use and requires additional funding to cover the remainder of the fiscal year. "Staff is asking council to approve a budget resolution and an amendment to the contract to appropriate additional Measure M2 funds to increase the contract amount for the current fiscal year by $50,000," staff member Drew Fine said.
Drew Fine also reported that OCY Management (California Yellow Cab) requested that insurance requirements for the upcoming contract remain consistent with the current contract for financial reasons; staff said OCY was the only vendor to respond to the RFP and that approving the amendment would allow the program to continue. Council moved, seconded and unanimously approved the recommended action (Council Member Vasquez absent).
