The chief (speaker 5) told the council the purchases included one AirPak, four sets of turnout gear (named recipients included Ryan Williams, Ryan Hearn, Paul Washburn and Daniel Callisto), three helmets, boots, gloves and two portable radios. “We spent a total of $30,467.01, so we were able to be reimbursed for $25,000 of that,” the chief said. He added the department has purchased two radios and still needs two more to outfit all paid personnel with the updated Kenwood units.
Council members asked for questions; none were raised during the exchange, and the council moved on to other business. The report was part of the meeting’s routine departmental updates and did not include a separate formal action beyond the presentation.
