Local businesses organize monthly brainstorming group; EDC members to support website and directory

The Economic Development Committee heard that a business-led 'brainstorming group' will meet on the first Thursday of every month to coordinate a directory, website presence and a shared calendar for news, discounts and events. Cheryl Rosenfeld praised the initiative and urged creation of a business directory; "This is fabulous that it got off the ground," Rosenfeld said.
Vice Chair Shana Seidenberg said business owners plan to rotate meeting locations each month and expects the EDC chairs to provide guidance. The group will be self-organizing; Waxman and Seidenberg offered to assist with the town website and outreach to businesses.
