Staff reports steady progress on raw water line; VFDs to arrive as mill/overlay bidding begins

City staff delivered a monthly status report covering June operational metrics and the progress of ongoing infrastructure projects.
Public works reported 105 in‑house pothole repairs, 18 building permits issued in June, and 347 traffic citations. On the raw water line, staff said pressure testing was successful and the project was approximately 85% complete; header pumps are being connected to the new system.
The VFDs for the Tuakonie pump station are expected to arrive at the end of the month and will be housed in the VFD building the council previously authorized. Staff also said bids for upcoming mill and overlay work would open shortly for the Cheltenham remainder and other streets.
Council had no substantive objections and staff said they would bring updates and scheduling information to future meetings.
