Council enacted several measures covering utilities and large capital projects. Jeremy (speaker 16) explained a change order to extend natural gas service roughly 1,800 feet to the fire administration and training facility; the additional cost will be covered by interest earnings from the original bond. The council approved the change order by unanimous vote.
Staff also presented an amendment to the professional services agreement for design work on the new raw water line, Reservoir 5 connections and the South Water Treatment Plant; the council approved the amendment. Staff reiterated that several large bond projects remain in various stages of design and procurement, including the new water treatment plant (design phase) and wastewater treatment plant expansion.
