Frank Lord updated the committee on broader summer capital projects across the district. "The GHS main Gym floor resurface is currently underway as of yesterday, and that is scheduled to be completed on 07/27," Lord said. He added the KMS Gold Gym floor resurface began 07/16 with an expected completion of 07/24, and the GHS tennis court resurface is scheduled for the first week in August.
Lord reported the hydroponics lab at GHS has been under construction since June 29 and said completion is "tentatively set for the 1st week of August." He also noted a district office pressure tank replacement and described the cause as a switch that had fused because the pressure tank was not holding water; the switch melted together and was repaired.
Committee members reviewed project photos illustrating progress in the hydroponics lab and gym resurfacing. Lord said the team is waiting for final structural renderings to confirm exact HVAC cut locations for the gym floor work before proceeding with HVAC-specific tasks.
The committee expressed appreciation for the visible progress and accepted the update. Staff will provide further scheduling details as contractors confirm completion dates.
