Germantown High School varsity batting cage revamp moves to installation phase

The committee received an update on Germantown High School's varsity batting cage revamp. Frank Lord described the planned scope: "This is removing the existing grass, and organic material, excavating the required depth, install a compact aggregate base, form and pour concrete pad, supply and install of commercial grade of athletic turf, and replacing worn cage net." He said the turf and a new batting cage net have been delivered and installation is being scheduled.
A committee member praised photos of the work and noted students assisted on-site. "And 1 of the photos you actually caught, mister Stachowiak standing there in the concrete with his boots on," the member said, thanking the students and Mr. Stachowiak for their help. Lord said the crew hopes to finish installation ahead of the school year and had provided photographic progress to the committee for review.
The committee had no further questions and moved on to other summer project updates.
