Silver Creek Township approves maintenance contracts, sets 28-foot minimum road width

The Silver Creek Township Board of Supervisors met June 3 and approved a package of routine and policy motions affecting road maintenance, licensing and engineering services.
Chairman Mike Helman called the meeting to order and the board unanimously approved the agenda and May 20, 2025 meeting minutes. Supervisor Andy Christensen led a series of maintenance and administrative motions that the board carried 3-0, including accepting bids and approving equipment repairs.
During the open forum, Julia Helman raised the need to update the township website; the board later authorized Johann Massmann to represent Silver Creek at an Xcel Energy meeting on June 11. The board voted to set the township minimum road specification at 28 feet wide after a motion by Supervisor Christensen and a second by Supervisor Sandy Forsman. The meeting also approved renewal of the Up the Creek liquor license and voted to continue contracting with Otto Associates as township engineer. The meeting adjourned following a motion by Forsman that was seconded by Christensen.
