The Gunter City Council moved forward with annexation of a roughly 75-acre tract into the Platinum Ranch development and approved the ordinance associated with the annexation at the Oct. 16 meeting. Development Director Eric Wilhite presented the item as a cleanup to bring a patch of property under the same development agreement and zoning as the rest of Platinum Ranch; the public hearing opened and closed with no speakers.
Wilhite described the PD zoning concept, saying the plat and developer agreement are being aligned with the city's standards and that the project includes substantial open space and a mix of lot types, ranging from single-family lots to higher-density 'villas.' "This is the overall This is the beginnings of the preliminary plat that we started to review," Wilhite told the council, and he noted infrastructure plans — including wells and an elevated storage tank — and coordination with the school district on proposed school sites.
