The Gunter City Council approved a series of routine and business items on Oct. 16, including the consent agenda and multiple procurement and intergovernmental actions. The mayor called for the consent agenda which passed following a motion listed in the record as having a first by 'Jared' and a second by 'Allen', and the council recorded the vote as unanimous.
Council members voted to approve an interlocal agreement with Grayson County for planning processes and an associated 20-hour option for related work. The council also approved a road improvement project for Burke Road and an ordinance allowing TaxDOT to remove school-speed-zone signs where schools are not active, with the understanding the signs would be reinstalled if a school reopened. The council approved purchase of the FundView trash-billing module and related contract documents for $17,450; members said FundView will handle billing notices and reduce staff data entry.
