Chair Rich Turner updated commissioners on several regional items: CVRPC held a special meeting on Sept. 18 with lawyers regarding the Montpelier City Plan and, according to Turner, "they did go through and approve 4 different motions." He said there is an appeals window related to that matter through Nov. 7.
Turner also reported the RPC has completed land-use mapping for eight of 24 towns and expects a draft map by early December for local review. He said the Regional Plan Committee has finalized many goals and strategies and recently worked through the Housing chapter, Economy and Working Land, and Natural Systems (including forestry blocks, connectors and invasive-plant concerns). Turner said he would forward timelines and relevant links to commissioners.
