The Town of Sharon Planning Board approved a modified sign plan for Sharon Cooperative School on May 28, voting 4-0-0 to allow signage tied to the school's 50th anniversary.
Debby Stratton, representing Sharon Cooperative School, said the school is celebrating its 50th year in Sharon and described two requested signs — one in the rear parking lot and one on the front door — noting the front sign meets the six-foot setback and is screened by trees. Chair Rob Maidman moved to approve the sign with size adjustments; Alex Schneiderman seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Assistant Town Engineer Sonal Pai will act as the Board’s agent for implementation.
The approval followed a brief review of sign dimensions and placement. The Board instructed that the front sign be reduced in size and approved the reconfigured plan for two rear signs to ensure compliance with setback and historic-palette expectations.
