Police, public-works and finance updates; committee duties shuffled
Summary

Police Chief Stigall reported the department met all 2025 training requirements and noted two in-depth active investigations are underway. City Supervisor Houk said dock repairs requiring crane work are progressing and that the drainage system is recovering and functioning to standard. Clerk/Treasurer David Johnson reported the city's finances "are currently in order." Councilor Ariss asked staff to consider a stop sign at the intersection of Monroe and Water Streets.
Council committee assignments changed for 2026: Councilor Davis will serve on the RWCC in place of Councilor Olsen, and Councilor Olsen will serve on the Fire Department Committee in place of Councilor Davis. Mayor Barnard thanked former Mayor Struck for transition advice in her report. The meeting adjourned at 6:42 p.m.
