The council approved an intergovernmental agreement to provide courtroom security services. Chief Seagull described the current arrangement: city officers staff courtroom security, Raven provides backup when needed, and regional partners support operations for scheduled court sessions.
Chief Seagull said the partnership has been effective and that "Judge Harmer is pleased with our services." He added the security detail typically covers a few hours on Tuesdays and that the arrangement has worked out well for the district court. The motion to approve the agreement was moved, seconded and carried.
