Resident urges Groves to address chronic drainage at Hogarbone corner

Brenda Coffey of 5890 Hogarbone told Groves council that chronic drainage problems at a corner near her home leave the area underwater during heavy rains and asked for the same type of square culvert drainage treatment used elsewhere in the city.
"It's about the drainage. Should have the big square drainage like they did on the other side of Harbor Boone...The 3 culverts that go across from Gulf go across Hovland from Gulf, they're broke down. They're not all clear. So what that causes is a lot of flooding on that corner, and the whole thing was underwater," Coffey said.
Council thanked Coffey; staff did not indicate immediate corrective action during the meeting but the comment was entered into the public record for follow-up.
