The commission continued the hearing for work at 5 Kings Way, where the applicant seeks to extend electrical and communications utilities through a buffer zone to a new house and neighbors have asked for matching boulder treatment on the opposite side of the shared driveway.
Ryan McSherry of Redbarn Architecture told the commission his team will excavate roughly 3 feet for the utility trench and said, "we are happy to... move the material every day, bring it up on the site, bring it out of, the wetland, out of the buffer zone, onto our own property, do the work, get it covered up, so that we're avoiding, as much, erosion runoff as practical during the project." Commissioners asked for a fresh delineation of wetland flags and the 100-foot buffer, expressed concern about possible impacts to an existing culvert and existing drainage/retention features, and recommended that the homeowners' request for aesthetic boulders be handled as a separate application because it involves different owners. The commission continued the matter to August 11 for a chance to review a revised delineation and any DEP comments.
