Parks and public services outline drainage study, trash vendor RFP and sign replacements after storm

The city's Director of Parks and Public Services told the council Perkins has completed an analysis of existing drainage conditions downtown and will submit models and exhibits to the city engineer, Jenny Praesak, next week to inform potential alternatives and an RFP for the Bridal Bow easement.
On sanitation, staff outlined the trash-vendor RFP process: committee scores are due the next day, the top two vendors will be selected for further evaluation, and the council could authorize contact negotiations at its Oct. 2 meeting with a target contract start date of Jan. 1. The director also reported widespread storm damage to signs and poles and said replacement pole orders and budgeted signage funds are in process; staff are exploring bulk brush pickup or chipping options with Republic and a private vendor and will provide cost information to council.
