Willard City Council adopted a new cable television franchise agreement at its June 26 meeting that will provide the city with 5% of gross sales within Willard. The council discussed the expired prior agreement and moved to adopt the replacement agreement after brief review.
"The new agreement would provide the city with 5% of gross sales within Willard," Mayor Travis Mote said when summarizing the agreement. Council Member Rod Mund moved to adopt the agreement and Council Member Rex Christensen seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Council did not record additional conditions on the agreement during the meeting; staff will follow up on implementation and revenue tracking under the new franchise terms.
