"The new ordinance would set the license validity for 3 hours per week, with a $50 fee per week and a $25 application fee," City Manager Jeremy Kimpton explained during the public hearing. Council Member Jordan Hulsey asked for clarification of the fee amount, which staff confirmed.
The council took the action after a public hearing that produced no opposition. Council Member Rod Mund moved to approve the ordinance and Council Member Mike Braegger seconded; the motion passed on a roll-call vote with Council Members Mund, Braegger, Christensen and Hulsey voting in favor and Council Member Jacob Bodily absent. The measure will establish a predictable permitting window and modest fees for solicitors operating in Willard.
