Council OKs Weber County grant agreements to fund Nature Park splash pad and Meadows infrastructure; playground replacement flagged for budget

The splash pad equipment has been ordered, staff said, while replacing the playground would add significant city cost. "I do have a cost of a state bid to put new playground in at 209 but it would be an additional cost to the city," staff said. Councilmembers praised staff work to secure grants and agreed to consider any playground replacement as part of the next budget cycle; the funding agreement with Weber County was approved by council.
Council also reviewed a staff summary showing roughly $1.2 million in combined improvements (grant plus project budgets) with a city cost share near $500,000; staff emphasized the project remains in design and will go to bid later in summer.
