The Sweetwater County commission voted to cancel a list of outstanding county warrants that have not been cashed, an action the Chair said is required under state statute and must be done at the December meeting.
Chair noted that Treasurer Cowan had a last-minute matter and the Chair covered the item on his behalf, explaining such cancellations are required under state law and that individuals on the cancelled list have up to five years to present warrants. Commissioner Jones moved the cancellation and Commissioner Richards seconded; the motion carried unanimously.
