San Patricio County Commissioners approved a request from the district attorney to reallocate $1,677.75 of designated asset forfeiture funds from training to law enforcement equipment on July 6.
The equipment described is a waterproof, secure slide/box that bolts into the bed of a truck to allow safe transport and storage of evidence. A staff member explained the device is typically waterproof and bolted to the vehicle bed; the judge asked the requester to stand and explain the item to the court.
A motion to approve the reallocation was moved, seconded and carried without opposition.
