San Patricio County Commissioners Court on a voice vote approved a one-year contract for juvenile detention medical services with Amistad Health Service Provider effective Jan. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2026.
The court also approved replacing the sheriff's front doors with automated sliding doors by Vortex Doors Corpus Christi at a quoted cost of $15,007.64 to be paid from courthouse security funds; the motion included an amendment requiring a 35% deposit and the balance due on completion. “We have to provide 35% deposit, and the balance due upon completion,” the presiding official said during the discussion. The motion was moved, seconded and approved by voice vote.
