South Ogden recognizes new firefighter and honors life‑saving awards

A fire department representative introduced Andrew as the newest full‑time firefighter and staff said the city recognized four personnel with life‑saving awards and also named a rookie of the year, an EMT of the year and firefighter of the year.
The mayor and council thanked the departments for their service. “We had four personnel get the life saving award,” a fire representative said, and council members joined in acknowledging the banquet and the departments’ work. The recognitions were presented before the public‑comment period and the consent agenda.
