Staff said they identified "about 12 to 15" employees currently receiving retirement deductions, and proposed moving those who work regular weekly hours into regular positions so there is no break in service and no requirement to refund contributions for those grandfathered in.
The court approved the personnel actions and directed staff to prepare personal-action forms and handbook changes; staff said adjustments for a small number of remaining temporary positions will follow TCDRS guidance and may require employee refunds if those positions are confirmed as temporary. Commissioners asked for departmental notices and confirmation that budgetary impacts would be handled as part of next week's agenda.
