Town staff presented a donation agreement from EE Reed Construction East Coast, facilitated by the local Percival Canons nonprofit, to remove the existing warning track at Fireman's Field and install a new pervious natural warning-track surface at no cost to the town, including permitting.
Daria Thompson said the gift will improve player safety: "EE Reed Construction East Coast has generously offered to remove the existing material, install a new natural pervious warning track surface, provide all labor, materials and equipment necessary to complete the project at no cost to the town." Council voted to accept the donation, thanked the Canons and authorized a letter of appreciation and a plaque recognizing the donor.
