Commission approves Lake Mission Viejo summer concert series permits

Staff described six requested concert dates for the Lake Mission Viejo Association and asked the commission to approve use of a park parking lot and some street parking for overflow. The requested dates are Saturdays June 13, June 27, July 25, August 8, August 22 and September 5, 2026, with events running roughly 7–11 p.m.; staff estimated attendance per event at between 5,000 and 7,000 depending on timing and date.
Commissioners asked whether youth athletics would be displaced. Staff said leagues have historically scheduled around the concerts and that alternate fields or scheduling adjustments have been used. The commission approved the permits and staff will follow up with formal permits and condition-setting as needed.
