The council opened and closed a public hearing on Resolution 25-0238 and approved a five-year lease renewal with Adams Outdoor Advertising Limited Partnership for two city‑owned billboard sites. Deputy City Manager Bridal De Profio told the council the agreement covers approximately 10,598 square feet at 715 Eaton Street and about 11,037 square feet at 732 North King Street, pays the city $100,000 per year with a 3% annual escalation, and renews an existing arrangement.
De Profio said Adams will also provide space on other billboards it operates in Hampton for public-service announcements and noted that, because interstate sound-wall construction along I‑64 could obscure visibility, Adams plans to raise the height of at least one billboard to preserve interstate visibility. No members of the public signed up to speak; the resolution passed on a unanimous vote.
