The Goose Creek City Council approved three ordinances on Dec. 9 during second-and-final readings.
The council adopted an ordinance amending the business-license ordinance to update the class schedule, which the mayor said was required by "Act 176 of 2020." The council also voted to annex property identified as TMS 2351304045 on Beverly Drive into the city and assign single-family residential zoning. Finally, council approved a zoning-map amendment for approximately 5 acres on Etowon Drive (TMS 2430400077), changing the designation to general commercial with the Central Creek District overlay. In each case the mayor read the ordinance language, a motion and second were recorded, and the council voted "aye."
The meeting transcript records the formal outcomes but does not provide a roll-call tally for each named member; the mayor announced each ordinance "passes" or that the motion "carries."
