Chair (S1) updated council that Mr. Meeks has requested city water service for his property at 507 Buchanan Loop after his well developed sand and sediment that made it unreliable. "He sent a follow-up email a couple weeks ago saying I haven't heard anything yet," the chair said, and staff indicated PGMS and the city engineer had inspected the site and worked on an estimate.
Councilors asked whether county engineers or the city engineer would verify design and right-of-way impacts once an estimate is prepared. S3 emphasized that engineering review and right-of-way construction standards would be part of the later permitting and that Mr. Meeks would be charged for the connection work. Staff committed to follow up with Mr. Meeks and report back when the cost estimate is complete.
