Council was briefed on grant administration and project steps for drainage and a generator tied to a hazard mitigation grant. The mayor said paperwork had been filed and the city had received a hard copy; he reported the filing turnaround was expected to be roughly a month. "As soon as that is done, then it's been Man. For now," he said, summarizing status of the filing.
Staff reported GrantWorks would provide an RFQ template and assist with administering the drainage grant and, separately, the generator portion tied to hazard mitigation. Council was told the drainage project completion target is 11/03/2025. Members discussed coordination between the drainage and generator efforts and acknowledged that some assistance applies to both FEMA-related grants even if the administrator is officially assigned to one grant.
Why it matters: the grants fund infrastructure resilience projects; deadlines and administrator engagement affect grant timing and project delivery.
