City staff provided a construction update on well No. 3 on Country Lane, reporting that contractors have closed out contracts and been paid under budget and that the Pat Lyle company is working on the final wellhead completion and pipeline connection. Staff said modifications at the Tanglewood pump station remain part of the final tie-in work and that the city will file as-built plans and photographs with TCEQ before placing the well into service.
"According to mister Davis this morning, the, Pat Lyle company is, working, aggressively on the wellhead completion and the connection of the pipeline," Don said while summarizing the contractor's work. Councilmembers asked technical questions about pump operations and rotating duty cycles; staff explained that the wells alternate via probes in the ground storage tank and will operate together only when storage levels trigger both to run.
