The Finance Committee affirmed the travel reimbursement policy for the High Point ABC board, as required annually by the North Carolina Alcoholic Beverage Control Commission.
Eric Almeida, Assistant City Manager, said local boards may adopt either the state employee travel policy or their authorizing authority's travel reimbursement policy; the High Point ABC board chose the city's travel policy last year and is required to reaffirm annually. "They opted last year to adopt the city of High Point's travel policy. They are asking to renew that, which they're required to do on an annual basis," Almeida said.
There was no fiscal cost associated with the reaffirmation and the committee approved the affirmation by voice vote.
