Advisory committee refers proposed bylaws changes back for final review

The Aging and Disability Resource Center of Douglas County Advisory Committee reviewed its draft bylaws March 11 and agreed to a set of clarifications before final adoption. Committee members asked the draft to specify membership term durations, to state the term duration for County Board elected officials, to prohibit County Board elected officials from serving as chair or vice chair, and to clarify that County Board members may not vote or attend meetings virtually. The committee also requested clarification on whether Robert's Rules of Order apply to this advisory committee.
Rosemary Lear moved that the committee make the recommended changes and refer the bylaws back to a future committee meeting for finalization; the motion carried. The committee did not record a roll-call vote in the minutes; the motion was entered as carried in the posted minutes.
