Newbury commissioners urge close review of TRORC's regional land-use map and Rural Conservation area
Summary

Tony O'Meara told the commission that TRORC will vote on the regional land-use chapter at its next meeting and reviewed disagreements about how rural conservation areas are mapped and defined. "He reviewed some of the concerns and disagreements about rural conservation areas which arose in the last TRORC meeting," the minutes state.
Commissioners pressed for clearer definitions of map features; Michael Thomas specifically asked about forest edges shown in the new land-use map, and Mr. O'Meara said no definition had been provided. Commissioners and residents were urged to watch for the public comment period and attend hearings because the regional plan could influence the next Town Plan and put pressure on local zoning to conform.
