City engineer Don Raschukert updated the council on construction of Well Number 3, reporting that he has requested closeout invoices from the drilling contractor and that parts for the wellhead have been ordered.
Raschukert said he coordinated with PEC Power on the meter and three-phase hookup and expects remaining work to take "probably another 2 weeks or so." He also said a subcontractor (Lyle Well Services) ordered components and scheduled a few days of onsite work when parts arrive.
No formal action was necessary; the council accepted the update and the mayor noted staff will continue to follow up on outstanding invoices and schedules.
